Jon Hird

Jon Hird is based in Oxford, UK, where he divides his time between teaching English at the University of Oxford, teacher training and writing ELT materials. Jon has a particular interest in Grammar, English for Academic Purposes and dyslexia and learning English. He has written and contributed to a number of ELT publications, including the B1 level of the brand new course book series ‘Language Hub’ and has written and adapted a range of ELT material for learners with dyslexia.


Queenie Tan

Queenie Tan (MEd, BEd, CerT) is an Early Childhood Education Specialist who has worked with children 8 and under for the past 16 years. Being dyslexic and having worked in 4 different countries (China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia) across multilingual settings, she has developed unique strategies to help children with various learning differences/disorders learn effectively. For the past 10 years, she has held numerous training workshops for pre-school teachers at universities and teacher training colleges across Southeast Asia as well as parenting seminars and retreats for hundreds of parents. Recently, Queenie has become a published author, a podcaster (The Essence of Teaching) and a TEDx speaker. She has also been world-schooling her two sons, aged 14 and 12, since September 2016.


Natalia Liashko

Natalia graduated from Kyiv National Linguistic University with a BA in English studies and holds a range of educational qualifications such as CELTA, IH-CYLT and TKT. She has been an EFL Teacher of students of all ages for 13 years. The most valuable experiences she acquired while working in state schools were dealing with large, demanding classes, unmotivated students and disruptive behaviour. After joining Express Publishing in 2015 she is currently involved in teacher training programmes and provides seminars and demo-lessons in this capacity in Ukraine and abroad. She enjoys working with young learners and teenagers and she strongly believes that every difficult learner is a sharpener to teachers’ professionalism.
